VOTW time! (Video of the week for newcomers!)
This week’s video is one you may have seen before, but the underlying lesson — that every person can be a leader— makes it worth rewatching. Often referred to as “Leadership Lessons from a Dancing Guy,” here is a link to the Ted2010 version, entitled “How to start a movement" where Derek Sivers talks about what we can learn by watching a crowd build at a festival. Whether you have a formal leadership role and need a reminder about the importance of your followers, or could use a reminder that you are a leader, even if your current role doesn’t reflect it, it’s well worth the 3 minutes to watch it. Please let us know what you think in the comments, and be sure to share any suggestions for videos we should feature in a future week.
