Our Story
Amy M. Gardner and Keith R. Sbiral founded Apochromatik in 2016. Amy often describes herself as a “recovering lawyer,” having been a Big Law associate and partner at a mid-sized firm, University of Chicago Law School Dean of Students, and a director for a national not-for-profit made up of lawyers, judges, and law students. Keith describes himself as a “recovering city manager,” having had a 20 year career in municipal government and management where he was responsible for a $32 million dollar budget and managing over 100 employees. Amy and Keith combine to bring both the J.D. and M.B.A perspectives to Apochromatik. Throughout their individual careers, Amy and Keith have received numerous honors, awards, and recognition. Both are active in various community and volunteer boards and organizations.
Through coaching and consulting, we help our clients bring goals and career issues into clear focus. Whether in your career, firm, business, or life, distractions can overwhelm and challenge your ability to focus and achieve your goals. These challenges and distractions create static. Using the analogy of a lens you look through to plan your future, this static reduces your focus and is considered a chromatic aberration. Apochromatik the firm, like an apochromatic lens, eliminates the distractions and helps our clients get where they want to go.
We work with individuals, firms, companies, and not-for-profits to develop the career and professional skills needed to achieve their goals. Along with proven and successful goal achievement methods, our work helps clients go farther faster.

We’ve all worked for a micro-manager. At Apochromatik you won’t be micro-managed. We have clear goals and objectives that we want to achieve for a young, fast growing company. All ideas are welcome in a collaborative atmosphere. You’ll be able to communicate regularly with your teammates on projects while enjoying plenty of time to focus on your responsibilities, including on our “no-meetings” days.
